Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?

No. You start the 14-day trial with your account only, no card needed. To keep using Rollout after day 14, add a payment method. If you do not, the app locks and you are never charged.

Does the free trial work on yearly plans too?

Yes. The 14-day trial applies whether you pick monthly or yearly billing. You are not charged until day 15, at which point the full billing-period amount (monthly or yearly) is charged.

Can I switch plans during the trial?

Yes — you can move between Basic, Pro, and Premium during the trial at no cost. The trial window stays the same regardless of tier.

Why did my card get flagged as trial-abuse?

If the same card has already been used for a trial on another Rollout account, the system declines a second trial but still lets you subscribe directly. This is a one-per-card anti-abuse control, not a block on your account.

Can I switch plans later?

Any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing so you only pay for what you use. Downgrades schedule at the end of your current billing period — you keep what you paid for until then.

How does yearly billing save money?

Yearly saves ~10% versus paying the same plan month-to-month. The full yearly amount is charged once; you can still cancel any time and keep access until the period ends.

Yes. Cancel from the billing portal with one click. Your plan stays active until the end of your current period — no pro-rating, no guilt email sequence.

A successful publish to YouTube. Drafts, failed renders, and re-attempts do not count against your monthly limit — we only count work that actually left the app and landed on your channel.

Is rendering really local?

Yes. Videos render on your machine — no cloud queue, no shared render farm, no sending your stems to a third party. This is also why startup time matters: the first render kicks off as soon as you drop the audio file in a watched folder.

How does Rollout compare to YouTube Studio scheduling?

Studio schedules one video at a time and still needs you to render the MP4 somewhere else. Rollout renders the MP4, sets the thumbnail, fills in the metadata from your per-project template, and schedules the publish — in one pass, from one folder drop.

Can I use custom fonts in titles?

Yes. Every project has a fonts list — drop TTF / OTF / WOFF / WOFF2 files into the project and they show up in the font picker. Sizes, colors, borders, and position are all per-project.

Yes. Minimize to the system tray and the background processor keeps rendering and publishing. Enable auto-launch and Rollout starts with your machine, so your queue keeps moving without the app window ever being open.

Via YouTube OAuth, scoped to upload and channel metadata only. You can revoke access any time from your Google account settings — Rollout loses upload ability the moment you do.

Accepted Answer

Rollout throttles uploads per plan to stay well inside YouTube’s daily quota, and it retries on transient API failures with backoff. You should never be the reason a quota trips.

Where is my audio stored?

On your machine. Rollout watches folders you explicitly opt in to. The rendered MP4 is written next to the audio file (or wherever you configure); it is only uploaded when the publish step fires.

No. Your source audio stays local. Rollout sends only metadata (upload status, YouTube video IDs, analytics snapshots) to our backend so the dashboard and scheduling work.
