BeatLoadr vs Rollout: which beat upload tool should you pick?.
BeatLoadr and Rollout both do the same job: upload beats to YouTube on a schedule so you stop losing whole afternoons to it. They just do it from opposite sides of the wire. Why the "where it runs" question matters
Your unreleased beats
With BeatLoadr you upload the audio to their servers so their render pipeline can turn it into an MP4. The file sits there while the beat is queued. That's how the product has to work. A web app renders in the cloud because it doesn't have your CPU to use.
With Rollout the render is FFmpeg running on your PC. The MP4 lands next to your WAV on your own drive. Nothing about your audio touches our servers until YouTube itself pulls the finished video during the publish step. If you're shopping beats to labels, working on exclusives, or you just don't love the idea of your unreleased stems on someone else's S3 bucket, that's the practical difference.
How the file gets in
BeatLoadr: open the browser, log in, drag files into the uploader, wait for the upload bar. Fine when your connection is fast and you remember to do it.
Rollout: your DAW exports a WAV to a folder. Rollout is watching that folder. The beat gets picked up on its own. If you export ten beats during a Sunday session, ten beats show up in the queue with no second step. It's not a huge deal per beat. Over a year it turns out to be the whole difference between a workflow you keep and one you drift away from.
Speed of the render
Local FFmpeg on any half-decent machine will out-render a shared cloud queue nine times out of ten, because you're not standing in line behind everyone else's beats. And if your internet dies, Rollout keeps rendering. It just holds the finished MP4 until the publish window comes back.
Uploads to YouTube
Both tools use YouTube OAuth, which means both count against your own channel's standing rather than a shared quota pool. That's the right way to do it and it's the reason producers hit the 10-a-day wall on older web uploaders that don't. On this axis BeatLoadr and Rollout tie.
Where BeatLoadr wins
You're on a Mac or a Chromebook. Rollout is Windows-only right now. macOS is on the roadmap, not shipped, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. If you don't have a Windows machine to run the desktop app on, BeatLoadr will just work and Rollout won't.
You want the queue reachable from your phone or a friend's laptop. A web app is a web app. Log in anywhere, do the thing. Rollout's app is tied to the machine you installed it on.

- Windows, care about your unreleased audio staying put? Rollout. That's the case it was built for.
- Mac, Linux, Chromebook, or you switch machines a lot? BeatLoadr. A browser is the right container for that life.
- Publishing five-plus beats a week and you export from a DAW? The watched-folder path saves you a step per beat. Over a hundred beats that adds up.
